Fair 2012 Update: Fair Poster is here!

Get a preview of the 2012 Fair Poster. Posters will be available again this year at the Fairgrounds, beginning at 1:00pm Friday, September 21, in 2 sizes: 18″ x 24″, Limited Edition, Hand-numbered, for $25; and 12″ x 16″ for $10. As always, posters will be available after the Fair at Sachem Frame Shop (aka Sachem Card & Party Shop), 946 Boston Post Road Guilford, Connecticut, (203) 453-5800 (Next to Ashley’s Ice Cream.)

Renowned Guilford artist Brendan Loughlin has once again come aboard to demonstrate his unique painting techniques at the Guilford Fair. Join him in the Arts & Crafts tent on Saturday, September 22, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

A self-described mountain man, Kostuk makes fire using flint, char cloth and tinder, and his wife Chris Kostuk is quite the accomplished open fire cook. The Kostuk family are proud members of Pisgah Mountain Primitives, a group of family and friends who demonstrate early American living. Such as blacksmithing, open fire cooking, make kettlecorn and do candle-making, rope-making and soap-making.

Al Kostuk will seen at the fairgrounds one day only. Saturday September 22, 2012. He and his team will be doing demonstrations throughout the day on blacksmithing, rope-making and open-hearth cooking.
